I expect not only ad-hoc public statements about strict religious internal questions,
but for example an annual address from Jerusalem to all Jews world wide!
I would like to hear a clear message to all - friend and foe - about tendencies to distort the history, as it is seen in the western world in regards to the WWII and Holocaust,
about incitement against countries and it's population to achieve short sided political gains, particularly Russia, which was the only force to have rescued rescued Jews in WWII,
I would like to hear about the installment of right wing forces in countries like Ukraine by our western allies,
illegal interventions world wide, like now in Venezuela ...

I understand, that the prime minister, who ever it may be, has some times difficulties to find a balance on this topics.

But the religious leadership, which has more duties than just watching kosher food, should also address it's people and the world, so the Jewish people have better guides then Face book, Twitter and commercial geopoliticians in their respective political roles in various non Jewish countries.

Would be nice if the Israeli media could contribute to this development ... dear editors.

My family are from Wilno and most were killed by the Nazis an their Lithuanian henchmen It is true that Wilno used to be a beautiful Polish City full of Poles and Jews but it hurts me to say that we cannot live in the past. We need to move on an adapt. We need as many friends as possible and. Wilno is now Vilnius the capital of Lithuania and it has been ethnically cleansed of Jews and most Poles. We cannot live in the past. We have our own country and we need to move on and face the enemies of today and not of yesterday. The average Pole today doesn't even know that Wilno and Lwow are Polish cities, so we Jews have also got to deal with modern probelms and deal with our current enemies. We need to chose our battles and Lithuania isn't one of them.
