After hearing and reading Gantz's maiden speech, it would be fair to change the label from 'leftist' to 'social democrat". The constant use of 'leftist' as a pejorative is not in keeping with Israel's declaration of itself as a democracy..It would also allow the public discourse to include discussion of Israel's social issues that have been ignored by the parties in power.

Both Gantz and Yaalon project weakness. Gantz is alienating religious parties he needs for coalition. That's not the way to win.
