3. israel sleepwalking into another disaster
carl   (02.24.19)
this seems to be the way with Jews-they take the course that seems easiest and end up dead.

Oslo and gaza withdrawal were not enough, Jews are so fed up with netanyahu and for good reason with his weakness and vaccination and sara sara sara , that they would cast their vote with gantz, a general rebuked by shapira, and who lapid praised during the poorly fought gaza war.
Gantz is not a general in the mold of galant or sharon and that is dangerous for Israel.

Bennett was the key to hitting the tunnels and yet Israelis reward him with 6 seats in the polls. so maybe Jews are willing victims in some cases.are you nuts???

you have other choices, zehut and feiglin, bennett, jewish home, labour, yet you put you cards on lapid and gantz.

did 6 million die in vain? the lesson of the holocaust never again isthough anti- jewish diatribes will ebb and flow. never gain would Jews be defenseless or permit their obliteration. ie Jews have to have security, occupy the high ground, and take enemies down.

gantz and lapid will agree to shrink Israeli borders, put a pal state which wants tel aviv in the heart of Israel, and make do with fickle international approval. lapid we have already seen and he is a royal ignoramus, a clone of olmert.

Watch and see what happens when gantz takes power. you will march down the path of self destruction.

In themeantime, the haredi are on notice-no more exemptions. you are going straight into the idf.
4. aipac adnd israeli elections
marv   (02.24.19)
who the hell is aipac to tell Israel to vote for. they only seem to want the yossi beilin herzog pacifists running the state. otzma is correct-aipac is not in Israel so your advice is not warranted.

it seems ok that arab countires can have their strong leaders like nasrollah, sisi, kameini running the affairs. but israel is not allowed to have a Jewish power party/parties.

why not? to assert Israeli historical perogatives, why not. it is maddening to see the politicians begging for peace like livni, lapid, gabbay, and others. it has gotten Israel nowhere but trouble.

there is nothing wrong in having some strongly nationalistic parties like zehut, otzma, jewish home etc this will put an end to begging.

moreover, idf needs some leaders who can plan for decisive wins on multiple fronts

israel cannot afford hamastan on the west bank. it would be one too many fronts. lapid and gantz are wrong on this one, wrong big time.

6. Maybe...
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem   (02.25.19)
While one's hopes are raised and the possibility of actually getting rid - FINALLY - of Netanyahu becomes realistic, a real worry also arises.

Joint decision making at the top is dangerous, far from ideal.
In a military situation two commandeers is a recipe for disaster. Seems to me that the same is true of the head of government.

Here's hoping...
7. gantz vs bibi
eli   (02.26.19)
journalist have criticized gantz for going over bibi's war record.i think it is fair game. if you review records of both men to lead israel, bibi talks big but has delivered not much. he did not finish gaza 2 times. he did not hit iran big time. he did not do much to dent hezbollah. he seemed reluctant to the point of fear.

gantz rose high in the ranks.he doesn' radiate fear. however, he also did not do much in gaza which got the attention of shapira.

so i do not fault gantz for aiming at bibi's war record. whatever bibi learned and did, iit has not done much for Israel. just maybe rabin's grandson was accurate in describing bibi.

Israelis should make other choices than gantz and bibi.
