1. This should be studied at the least.
Adam ,   US   (03.01.19)
Interesting. You'd think the public health department would at least study this to see if there's a real statistical basis for the cancers.
2. Cancer rates and environmental exposures
Chellie ,   Alexandria   (03.01.19)
Exposures to various environmental factors cause specific cancers. Antenna and microwave towers cause brain tumors, not prostate cancers. The residents should look into whether or not Elbit or IAI had a factory in their area. They dumped carcinogens everywhere over the years at their multiple locations throughout the state. Antennas caused brain cancers at the Tel Aviv police station for those whose windows faced the towers, until they were removed.

phone companies got too much power in israel. Now they should pay through their nose to the victims and future victims. when it comes to public safety israel is a third world country.

all possible causes, what remains, however improbable, must be the answer...
5. Not Necessarily Due to Antennas
Michael ,   Jerusalem   (03.01.19)
Cancer from low power radio frequency emissions has been unproven. If people are worried about this they should definitely never use a cell phone as the radio energy so close to your head is many times that received from a cell phone tower. It's likely that the cause is something else in the local environment.
6. An unknown source of radio-waves
Phinehas Saar ,   Tzrifin - Israel   (03.01.19)
Tumors and cancers are associated with electromagnetic emissions of high-frequency and short-wave radiation, such as Gamma and X-rays, the only ones that can alter biological DNA. These types of waves, commonly called radioactive, are small enough and carry enough energy to remove the electrons from the atoms, which by distorting the normal growth of the cells generates chaotic patterns of development anywhere in the body. These waves are also associated with malformations in newborns.

Radio, TV, mobile phones and radar antennas, employ long wavelength and doesn't have the energy to do that. Otherwise, hundreds of millions of humans would be affected by malignant tumors, particularly in the brain, for the amount of time we have a cell phone stuck to the ear day after day.

It would be convenient that the urban center of Rosh HaAyin be thoroughly maped by specialists in very low wavelength radiations, in order to locate the sources that emit such pernicious emissions. I also believe that this search should be given full priority.
7. not voodoo
shloime ,   toronto   (03.02.19)
radiation can be measured and shielded against. and it is not the only, or the primary, cause of cancer. proper testing and real science should find the cause of the problem, not by “chatting with the neighbours”.
