2. Israel didn't down Russian plane
Andrew ,   San Francisco   (02.27.19)
Basic fact: Syria shot down the Russian
jet, not Israel. With Russian weapons, no less

Russian embarrassment and subsequent nonsensical misinformation campaign aside, Russia sent Israel to the dog house for a while.
This meeting signifies the end of that chill.

And that means big actions coming from Israel.
Most likely, Iran needs to distraction from internal economic collapse by using hezb to poke at Israel. And this is one way for Russia to signal that they are no longer handcuffing Israel. So whatever games Iran is planning, Israel will be free to fight back
3. Russia and Israel
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn Holland   (03.01.19)
In principle, Hezbollah/Lebanon, Iran and Russia have no business in Syria with military armies. The Syrian civil and internal war is a Syrian business/affair in principle, unless other countries are threatened. Israel has the fullest right to defend it"s people against agression, violence and terror from Syria, for example. Israel is no explanation indepted to Russia and no other country and also not to a bad functioning and not deserving believable United Nations Organization, UN. When Russia suffers agression from Poland, they do not need the permission of Israel and any other country to do something about it to defend the Russian people.
