First not any country (on Earth) is perfect, also not even free and democratic countries. Alas this happened before( in Israel). I can imagine why those soldiers did it, this is not to explain it away. This is to act for her/his/theirs own judges. The real and final judge is of course, G.D. In this case it is to the professional Judge or court, to reach a verdict, after a fair trial, investigation and charge, in a democratic, constitutional state. This also proves/shows that democracy is the most difficult and most human system. In a dictatorship, in such a case, for example soldiers, policeman and dictators would get away, unpunished, with such acts and actions. A free and democratic country should be a good example for other countries. Nobody is above the law.
