1. Muslims are warlike people and so we must come to accept it
jore ,   la   (03.23.19)
we must dissuade them from expansionism into Israel and politely ask them to go back to Arab states of origin or choice.
2. Rantawi, you can't be serious
sgilbert ,   teaneck   (03.24.19)
When in the history of the world have Muslims demonstrated the ability to live in peace and equality with non-Muslims (infidels)?

Who in history is responsible for murdering Muslims? Other Muslims, of course.

One need only look at how Muslim immigrants have repaid the Europeans for their generosity.

If speaking the truth is Islamaphobic; then so be it.
3. Pals just want the whole place from Jordan to Med Sea.Forget
Alan ,   SA   (03.24.19)
4. The deal of the century.
tiki ,   belgium   (03.24.19)
1. Jerusalem is Israel's Capital!
2. Golan belongs to Israel!

Next?

1. Judea & Samaria will be officially returned to Israel with border correction next to Jordan/Palestine.

2. Jordan will be renamed Palestine again.

There it is.........
The 2-state solution with 'Lebensraum for palestinian Arabs and the Biblical Jewish lands returned to it's proper owners.
5. How dare you?!
Menny ,   Antwerp   (03.23.19)
How dare u even put the shoah and the nakba in the same sentece comparing the two. The shoa was an external factor wich wanted to anilihate a whole population based on a historical hatred called antisemitisim. The nakb, on the other hand was coused mainly becouse palestininian leadership, and the arab world as a whole, refused to accept the offer for a palestinian state that was given to them in 1967! This is just one of the many fundamental differences between these two historical tragedys.
6. The cake is divided unfairly
Boaz   (03.23.19)
57 Muslim and arab states, 135 Christian, Budhist, Hindi and others. ONE Jewish state. Is that too much or you are just being greedy?
7. How about a cheaper solution
Boaz   (03.24.19)
A big electrified wall all around Judea and Samaria and have your failed state wherever you want. Join with Jordan and the problem is solved.
8. There are several more one state solutions to consider
Steve Benassi ,   Minneapolis USA   (03.24.19)
Jordan one state solution
Arabian peninsula one state solution
Sinai peninsula one state solution
Syria, Iraq and Jordan one state solution
Kuwait one state solution
Arab League one state solution for all Arabs anywhere
9. Terrible Idea
Ed ,   USA   (03.24.19)
Palestinians hate Israel and Israelis, and they refuse to acknowledge that Jews have rights. The last 70 years has made matters worse. This is not the basis for a good relationship.

In some cultures a rape victim is forced to marry the rapist. The marriage is not likely to be a happy one.
10. Good idea if you want a mass slaughter of the Jews
K ,   US   (03.23.19)
Once the Jews are not able to defend themselves and are at the mercy of the "Palestinians" and the other Arabs and the Muslims in the region they will pick up where their friends in Germany started in the 1940's
11. למה לא אוגנדה
ex Oleh Chadash   (03.23.19)
I have a better idea:

the Arab countries should finance the purchase of land in another state and establish a Palestinian state there.

The rich Arab countries don't want Palestinians, Syrians.

I know of some Palestinians who have migrated to other countries and do not think of ever going back to their strip of origin.

Another idea: tell Merck to host all of them. Let them make alyah to Germany.
12. You are describing the State of Israel
Basya ,   Safed   (03.23.19)
Why have the Palestinians not built such a vision, but Israel has for all of its citizens? Could it be because they are too busy trying to visualize Jews in the Sea instead? Sorry, keep your state, we'll keep ours. There WILL be a 2 state solution.
13. I said it before
Samek ,   Framingham   (03.24.19)
Two state solution will not work. But a federation of 2 states with a common economy and federal government (one army) might. I hope some workable solution can be found since the current state of affairs is not sustainable.
14. delusional.
(03.24.19)
15. Two states
d   (03.23.19)
Two states solution only. Israel and Jordan. No third state.
16. Azoulay, you are a lost individual.
Not Progressive ,   Near You   (03.24.19)
Arabs can't coexist with Arabs in Lebanon, Syria or anywhere else. The only things that holds nations together in the Middle East (and the world) is force or the threat to use it. As soon as the soft vacuum called weakness, or in your case liberalism, manifests anywhere i.e. lack of willingness or inability to exert your will over that of your opponent, you get aggression.

The true answer to this problem is removal of either the Jews or the "Palestinians" from the equation and so long as the Jewish people want to live, it sure as Hell isn't going to be the Jews.

Azoulay, you don't deserve to have a public forum. Your ideas are a sickness.
17. There's no chance Jews will let a Muslim majority.
Sam ,   Montreal   (03.24.19)
Palestinians keep dreaming up an Israel with a Muslim majority because they reject a Jewish state.Forget it Palestinians Jews will never allow it.
18. DID YOU LOSS YOUR MIND. ISRAEL IS FOR JEWS AND CHRISTIANS !!
OLEG ,   FLORIDA   (03.24.19)
IF THAT DAY COMES THE MUSLIMS WILL MURDER EACH JEW OR MOST JEWS WOULD LEAVE ISRAEL THE ARABS HAVE A BIG CHOICE 23 ARABS COUNTRIES TO CHOSE JEWS HAVE NONE.THE WHOLE WORLD HATE US.
19. More "magical thinking", which plagues the Arab world
Vered, Israel   (03.24.19)
Dear Mr. Rantawi, your suggestion is indicative of the magical thinking that plagues the Arab world. What you are actually proposing is that we invite 13 million Arabs into Israel, and expect the democratic institutions to remain intact. In the entire Arab world, there is not one country that has "equal rights for all citizens". ALL Arab countries rank high on the corruption list, are extraordinarily violent, are lacking in civil rights, are indoctrinated from birth to hate Jews, produce nothing (except oil, which they pay others to extract), and not one has the civil rights of a western nation. Why do you think it would be different for the Palestinians? Their leaders are already some of the most corrupt and violent in the world, who attack their own people. Mahmoud Abbas has a personal fortune of 100 million dollars, which he stole from his people just as Arafat did, please Google it.
Arabs cause all their problems through their lack of introspection and knee-jerk blaming of others. What you are basically saying to us, who have achieved a country on the top-10 most powerful nations on earth in just 70 years, is to give it away for a promise Arabs are not capable of fulfilling. Arabs may have lots of good points, such as hospitality and a rich culture, but good governance is not one of them.
20. Reading this mpiece, complete waste of time.
Lucifer69   (03.24.19)
21. Sure, your plan needs a small correction.
Jean ,   Holon   (03.23.19)
Add Jordan to the list.
22. This article explains why nothing ever works
Grip   (03.24.19)
As always, it's all about all of the land and Muslim domination, all based on a claim to the region that was based on the ludicrous premise of a DREAM,by Mohamed.

Thereafter, the religion developed the theory that if a Muslim has ever owned a piece of land, it belongs to Muslims forever. And there is another Muslim rule, which means that they will never, ever accept equality, so all of this is one big spin exercise. Under the dhimmi rules - which have already been promised by the PLO, Hamas etc - the people under Muslim rule will be "tolerated" as inferiors, only in return for protection money - the jizya tax.

For this, there is no such word as democracy, or equality. Domination is the natural state of order in Islamic tradition. If only the writer could quote ONE Muslim country in which there is either democracy or equality. Why would we ever believe that it will start in this neck of the woods?

It boils down, really, to greed. The Muslims are in possession of 99.9 percent of the entire Middle Eastern land mass. And they RESENT 0.1 percent of it going to anyone else. If and when they could relent and say to themselves that 99.9 percent of the land is enough, and that a miserable 0.1 percent could be tolerated as being given to a people who were stateless for 2000 years, the problem would be solved.

Sadly, there can, and never will be, a peace for as long as this need for acquisition by whatever means necessary remains enshrined in their religious texts. Only enlightenment from religious dogma provides the key to liberation from a situation in which one claims superiority over the other. The writer may dream his dream. Just as Mohamed dreamed of an unnamed "faraway mosque".

Mr Trump may dream of his "deal." Mr Kushner will go through the motions. But the surrounding Muslim countries are NEVER going to be capable of, let alone willing, to concede to anything short of total domination of 100 percent of the region (not to mention the entire planet), our Mr al-Rantawi is writing nothing but pure fiction. And nobody in Israel will buy it.
23. Judaism (Zionism) & human equality is oxymoron
khalid Amayreh ,   Occupied Jerusalem   (03.24.19)
But the idea of one unitary state is not bad
24. With Israeli settlements interwoven with Palestinian ghettos
(03.24.19)
there is already no Israel but Israelarabia. Time to make it official and give every Israelarab the right to vote.
25. I have a better idea:
Isaac Storm   (03.24.19)
Since they have Jordanian citizenship, annex the territories, give these Jordanian citizens and their children, and so forth, green cards as residents. Japan and European countries do that all the time. They can pay taxes to Israel, can't vote, and can never become citizens of Israel. Oh, btw, the only Nakba that I can think of is this horrible article.
26. One State already here Israeli Arabs 21% & growing ...!
BadLeaders ,   Jerusalem   (03.24.19)
The State of Israel even without PA Arabs is on track to become 50% Arab in the near future and no one wants to discuss that nightmare instead Israel is bending over backwards to integrate them into every walk of society instead of linking them to an a Palestinian entity Israel itself at the highest levels is creating an Arab Palestinian State to replace the one and only Jewish Homeland and no one is discussing this elephant in the living
room nightmare which the Israeli Post Zionist Left has been brainwashing via its mouthpiece the Post Zionist Media and it’s Post Zionist educational
system it’s goal for years to wipe out the Jew State Judaism and Jewish identity
Returning Jews to once again a status of constant persecution in a Jew hating world ...!
for years
27. How much would it cost in terms of re-branding Jordan as
(03.24.19)
"Paleshtina": new currency, flag, official regal stamp & the whole shenanigan?
Not THAT much I would image?
Aren't we, the Israeli taxpayers willing to foot that bill?
I know i am.
28. Not A fantasy but a delusion
Anonymous   (03.24.19)
if the Palestinians can not even live and work with each other (Fatah vs Hamas ) in one entity , can they really do so with the a few million Jews?

and if the whole idea of establishing Israel was to make it a home for the jews, do you really think Jewish Israel will live happily in a binational state?

and If muslim Shia and Muslim Sunnis are butchering each other, u think Moslems and Jews can coexist peacefully in Palestine?

29. Reparations?
Sean ,   Pittsburgh   (03.25.19)
I think you are missing a fifth pillar of the negotiations - that of reparations for the loss of wealth. Bundles of cash may not be the answer, but beyond "housing for all", the generational wealth that has been lost by the Palestinians over the last 70 years needs to be somehow corrected. Doing so would strengthen the moderate middle class and lead to more stability.
30. Israel needs to invest in "Palestinian" departure
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.25.19)
The One State Solution must be based on "Palestinian" departure to their state, which is Jordan, and elsewhere. Israel needs to invest in "Palestinian" departure, instead of madly investing in making our mortal "Palestinian" foes comfortable tormenting us, and plotting our demise, in our sole tiny Homeland.
