Peace means 3 countries- Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. A new Arab state would be unworkable. It's time bureaucrats took over and has-been terrorists retired or jailed.

Anything else, any other plan whereby a new Arab state is created, is just a smokescreen for the old 'push Israel into the sea' crowd, which in some Arab circles is still the primary goal, no matter how long it takes.

Recall that Arafat himself said that "it might take 50 years to eradicate Israel." Many Arab leaders are still counting the days.
