It is sad to see politics being played with Judaism's core tenets. But for the record: 1. I don't understand why Reform Jews are troubled that they are not given equal ritual access to the Kotel. After all, Reform Judaism believes that the Temple will not be rebuilt! Reform has no use for the ritual sacrifices that were brought, and will be brought, at this site. So why the tumult? Unfortunately, the answer is that Reform is not concerned with Jewish unity but with political gain. Reform, Conservative and Orthodox Jews can and do daven together at the Kotel. There is no reason for change.
Conversion is an even more serious matter. The fact is that Orthodox Jews cannot accept Reform and Conservative conversions, on theological grounds. Therefore, if such conversions are recognized, the potential for a divided Jewish people may, God forbid, come to fruition. This is not a political issue for Orthodox Jews, it is a theological one, and the attempt to paint it otherwise is disingenuous.

the real problem of Israel is the lack of civilian registration of marriages at magistrates or internal affairs ministry, in addition to the Rabbinate. And it has nothing to do with eligibility of citizenship laws (the Law of the Return). There is a number of countries whose law grants citizenship based on various personal criteria to people that do not belong to the dominant ethno-nation or to the majority religion of that country. Again, marital registration procedure, congregational belonging and citizenship granting procedure are all orthogonal!
