Not so long time ago, the catholic and their priests burned the talmud in front of that french cathedral.
My question is simple: what is worst??
9. Rather a load of bunkum
grip   (04.27.19)
The truly incredible part of this whole tale is that not one iota of evidence has been found in Egypt to suggest a mass Hebrew presence there. Nothing throughout the Sinai area to suggest that people walked through it. They must have had utensils to cook, left remnants / fossils of pottery or bones, seeds, buried bodies. Zilch.

And from this zilch arises an entire industry of new plates, matza eating (the Festival of Matza having originally been a pagan/Canaanite spring festival not remotely linked to an exodus from Egypt), and oh, an encyclopaedia of folk tales, rabbinical scholarly studies, working out whether the notion of unleavened bread should include lentils, and even better, in Israel 2 weeks of zero productivity.

Yeah, all you religious folk, go ahead and dislike. Religion has never been about facts, or truths and unfortunately, education and more education simply dismantles the entire argument every time.

It is sadly becoming clearer and clearer that Yaron London's mind is beginning to wander and he produces more and more fantastical stuff. Is he on LSD, I wonder?

TEL EM STRAIGHT ,   SAFED HONESTY   (04.27.19)
A good and thought-provoking article by Yaron London .True, we do not always have to celebrate the fall of our enemies, their fall is enough but we would perhaps have more sympathy towards the burning of the Notre Dame church had they not burned our holy Talmud hundreds of years ago. And sometimes in life, you just have to treat others the same as they treat you ,which means little sympathy.
13. nice but meaningless
Jochair Thijssen ,   kfar saba Israel   (04.27.19)
Aviner's word seem wise, but there is no meaning and there is no concludion,
The best that I can make of it is the abhorrence of destruction.
14. Does Rome mourn the destruction of our Temple in Jerusalem?
Jake   (04.27.19)
The Romans destroyed our Temple in Jerusalem. The Vatican is the heir to the Roman empire, and they still have our Temple vessels. They don't mourn our destruction. They actively work to uproot our sovereignty in Jerusalem, with the goal of preventing us from one day rebuilding our Temple.
15. Dabbing drops of wine is to LESSEN our enjoyment
Jake   (04.27.19)
We lower the amount of wine in our cup as we read through the 10 plagues, because God's children were hurt by them. This is the Rabbinical view.
16. Haggada exactly as the name suggests
Disillusioned   (04.28.19)
The word refers to relating a tale, a legend.

If anyone who reads it can actually understand or make sense of this weird collection of opinions and incantations, they deserve a medal.

As for this Aviner, he carries on the Levantine tradition of eternal retribution. It has brought nothing but misery to the entire Middle East and the world. A never-ending cycle of tit for tat. Nothing gained but so much lost. His words are anything but to be admired simply because there is no resolution, just continuing to keep the Jewish nation in a state of perpetual mourning. And like the Muslims who seek only to go back to the 8th century, the extreme among us insist on returning us all to the 14th.
17. The Final Destruction of a Venerable Cathedral
Nick Helder ,   Swansea, Wales UK   (04.28.19)
Elapsed the necessary time to assimilate the event, far from the liturgical ceremonies that Christians stage in Western Europe from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, it would be appreciated if someone with knowledge informed us with succinct and clear words about the authorship of the fire of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

In any case, it would be convenient for those responsible for the fire to be very clear that their attack will not be remotely comparable to that which will occur when the enlightened modern architects undertake the reconstruction ordered by the president of France. The real attack, the true destruction comes now and will be irremediable.

With all the reason in the world, Charles, the Prince of Wales, said that Modern Architecture has caused much more damage to England than Hitler's Luftwaffe.
18. If that is the Rabbi‘s position
(04.28.19)
then why should Christians weep for burning synagogues? Be careful, what you wish for.
19. Ynet misinterprets again
yoni ,   Jerusalem   (04.28.19)
We always rejoice at the downfall of our enemies. So many of the jewish holidays are based on our triumph over the enemies who came to destroy us.

We shouldnt rejoice over the downfall of other Jews who come to hurt us. We should most definitely rejoice over the downfall of the Egyptians, amalekites, greeks and all others.

Christians nowadays are not considered real Idolators so we dont have to fight against their ideology any more.

20. #17. The Final Destruction of a Venerable Cathedral
Gavriel Rechov ,   Swingate, Kent UK   (04.28.19)
You're right, Nicky.

Many Frenchmen already think like you. They're completely convinced that the burning of Our Lady of Paris has been their 9/11, and not only for them but also for all of Europe; a destruction planned by the foes of the EU to deprive them of the most precious piece of their collective identity, their most mythical and revered idol, visited daily by more than 30,000 people.

Modern architects don't know, nor do they want to know, anything about the reasons why Gothic cathedrals were built, and most specifically that of Paris, just above the Ile-de-France, seven kilometres west of the macrocosmic Y-fork meeting point of the Seine and Marne rivers, two of the longest in France. Only in Koblenz is there a similar point, but unfortunately it's oriented to the North.

Modern architects haven't the slightest idea that this tiny island was chosen because it is there that the 'guivre' --French for wivern-- reaches its highest flow of power, and that the cathedral is on top to expand its vibrations as if it were the great sounding box of such peculiar and inaudible notes, which flood Paris, as well as the rest of France, the UK and all of Europe.

They also ignore that the roof of such a singular 'musical' instrument must necessarily be made of wood, in order not to distort the magnetic properties of the gigantic underground forces. Who would be the fool who dared to reconstruct a genuine Stradivarius violin with steel sheet? I'm sure that if the iconic Nelson's HMS Victory, docked at HMNB Portsmouth, was destroyed by a fire, HM the Queen of the UK would have no objection in cutting down the essential large oaks of her Royal Forests to rebuild her.

Whoever burned the oak forest on the roof of the cathedral knew very well that the French aren't willing to wait for the 6,500 imposing oaks to grow and dry out, so that the 'guivre' resonates with harmony and finesse. I'll even say more, it's a hundred times preferable for the cathedral to remain so indefinitely until obtaining the necessary oaks, before the box vibrates monstrously distorted for the inhabitants of Paris and those of the rest of Europe.

Nor does anyone know that in a place like that and in a cathedral like that, only very exceptionally should iron or steel be used. Nor do they know when and how the work should begin, nor the days on which work can be done and the days when it's necessary to stop.

What those who caused the fire did know is that without that building, France and Europe will begin the great and dark centuries of their long-foretold decrepitude. Really, it's been like a point-blank shot in the head.

What everyone can be sure of is that if tomorrow Israel and the US finally decided to build the Third Temple on Mount Moriah, in Jerusalem, they would not call Peter Eisenman, Frank Gehry, Daniel Libeskind, Richard Meier and Moshe Safdie, all of them world-renowned modern Jewish architects, to participate in a restricted contest of ideas for the erection of the New Temple.

In the world there are only two architects who could undertake the reconstruction of the cathedral in the proper conditions, but, unfortunately for all, they retired a long time ago.
21. Simply amazing
Marvin Seligman ,   Jerusalem   (04.29.19)
a fire in Notre Dame that was caused by an electricity problem. Islamic terrorists bomb churches in Sri Lanka. Yet, Yaron London is able to find a Jewish - rabbinical connection even when there is none. Talk about self-hating Jews..... With friends like London, who need gentile anti-Semitism?
22. A shot in the temple
A. Wordsworth ,   Charring Cross, UK   (04.29.19)
Recipe for burning famous cathedrals:

Put a box with 32 Fire-Starter pills and half a dozen pine chips into the plastic bag of any supermarket.
Place the package on top of one of the thin boards that stiffen the wooden frame that forms the base of the central needle of the temple, if possible on one that is below or next to others.
Put two FS pills on top of the package.
Light a match.
Without hurry, go quietly to sit down in a nearby bank to enjoy the show.
Take as many photos as you want and tweet them to friends and/or newspapers.

Price of materials: £3.50
23. To 22: A shot in the temple
R. Shalom ,   Palmachim, Israel   (04.30.19)
It seems to me an excellent way to celebrate Hitler's suicide on 30 April, such as today 74 years ago, a holiday that the anti-fascists of the world should commemorate every year, because thanks to that accurate shot in the head we Jews have managed to return to our Promised Land, forbidden for 20 very long centuries.

Little, very little is missing, so that we can all see another shot in the temple, which will bring down the totalitarian dome that still stands on the St Peter's basilica in Rome, within which the Palestinian state was invented during the Second Vatican Council, which took place from October 11, 1962 to December 8, 1965, precisely the years of the gestation and birth of the PLO.

Interestingly, every December 8th, the Roman Catholic church celebrates the feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, who in 1965, with unbearable pride, gave birth to the Palestinian incubus in Rome.
