My condolences to the family of Ms Kaye, ZTL. Refuah shlema to the wounded.

First of all, I am sorry you were injured and for your traumatic experience recently in the attack at San Diego. I wish you a Refuah Shleimah ,a speedy recovery .But ,sadly ,you still do not get it, you still fail to understand. You come across as haughty and defiant with your facile statement ' we are strong, they can not break us " etc .With all due respect Rabbi, you are NOT strong, far from it, in truth you are weak and you are vulnerable. And they can break you, just as the jews of Germany and Poland were broken 80 years ago. If you were more humble, you would be honest with yourself and recognize your weakness and vulnerability.Only in the land of Israel can the jew be strong and able to defend himself. And when the New York Times is drawing nazi-style cartoons ,the writing is on the wall.

American jews, in their ' goldene medina' need to wake up and smell the coffee ,and make aliyah. Their is no future for jews in the diaspora.

The truth is, Rabbi Goldstein's cheesy words of defiance ( which sounds like something out of a Hollywood movie ) " we are strong ,nothing can break us ' etc .Such arrogant platitudes do not help. Because the harsh reality is that american jews, and all diaspora jews are anything but strong, far from it.In fact, they are very vulnerable and weak and can and will be broken, just as the jews of Europe were broken 75 years ago. The jews of Germany and Poland discovered, the hard way, that they are not strong. I wish Rabbi Goldstein a speedy recovery ,but if he were more realistic and more humble, he would understand that jews in the United States are not so strong .
Only in Eretz Israel is the jew strong ,as the six-day-war and Entebbe etc has demonstated.

G-d sends us warnings or messages ,also known as 'the writing on the wall ' but if we ignore these warnings, that is down to us, our error of judgement.And ,with attacks on synagogues and antisemitic cartoons, the writing is on the wall for american jewry, just as it was for german jewry seventy plus years ago. Your ancient and modern homeland, ( Israel not New York ! ) awaits with open arms .
