1. Lieberman needs to join the government
C   (05.16.19)
many of his demands can be negotiated or even postponed.
the demand that cannot be negotiated is the insane idea of
checking new aliya members' dna.
2. King maker
Boaz   (05.16.19)
The drawback of MMP party system
3. Bibi has more in common with Gantz than Haredim.
Sam ,   Montreal   (05.16.19)
Haredim only care about themselves. Other Jews are just their garbage to be hired at low wages to fulfill their needs and obligations.
4. Of course they're making demands...
disillusioned   (05.16.19)
And they know nothing is too impossible for a prime minister who abandons the needs of the country to the need to keeping that crown on his thinning head..

There is no depth to which this power-sick prime minister gone completely rogue will sink. And the people who continue to believe in his grossly over-exaggerated talent are going to have suck it up - the billions that will go to his coalition instead of their children's education, the beds they need in hospitals, the paying of half their taxes (soon to be raised to start paying the growing national debt).

And long may the despicable parasitic small gimme gimme gimme parties continue to give old Bibs the mother-in-law of headaches and nightmares.

Lieberman, you are now the Kingmaker - or the Kingbreaker. With 60 seats he will be incapable of governing. If Lieberman plays his cards right, he will have the key to Bibi's castle. At 60 seats - hung parliament = no governance.

5. National Unity is the Only Way
Jake ,   Dallas   (05.16.19)
To avoid the demands of the small parties, especially the ultra-Orthodox. The only thing standing in the way of a national unity position - for issues of the draft, social spending, health care, even avoiding any major issues in foreign affairs, unfortunately seems to be the PM and his legal troubles. That is really too bad.
6. coalition
Michael ,   seattle   (05.16.19)
It is obvious the answer is to form an unity government with the Blue and White and make Gantz the defense minister. That way the religious parties cannot hold the rest of the country hostage. Bibi said some horrible things about the Blue and White party during the campaign that were totally unjustified. You don't call a party with three retired chiefs of Staff, who have spent their lives defending Israel, "leftists". That was very bad of Bibi, and he knew it at the time. Now both Bibi and Gantz need to make amends and the Blue and White need to enter the government. Bibi should make the first move and apologize for the things he said during the campaign.
7. Ben Nitay as CEO of IKEA?
Maximilian Teusch ,   Seldwyla   (05.17.19)
a perfect job for Netanyahu.
