1. Solution suggested is much more costly than implied damage
Steve Benassi ,   Minneapolis USA   (06.07.19)
The environmental system installation cost runs in the teens of billions of dollars for Israel and ongoing maintenance costs.

I am in favor of environmentally friendly energy when it makes sense
economically but to apply scaremongering to this issue is plain stupid.

Enjoyed your gas / oil rig / electric grid article today. I would be interested to know if there has been any discussion of Israel adding a circle of empty oil tankers around the current and future oil/gas rigs? Might be a cheap secondary level of protection for this incredibly important resource? If not, maybe there should be.
3. Any country can become energy independent...
Adele Franklin ,   Haifa   (06.07.19)
...but first they'll have to subdue the oil and coal barons who are afraid they'll go broke after the big switchover.
4. Cover the Negev with solar panels.

and then plant low crops which thrive in the shade of the panels.
5. Nice idea but way too late.
Rich ,   Toronto   (06.08.19)
By the time Israel gets online with 90 percent of solar energy, runaway climate change will heat up the country making life there impossible to live. And you didn‘t offer any solutions for the fossil fuel burnng cars, trucks, buses, ships, planes and all the military vehicles that subject Israelis to high levels of air pollution everyday. It‘s a nightmare beyond belief. Good luck!
6. the question is, INTO HOW MANY POCKETS THE REVENUES
Alexander Scheiner ,   Israel   (06.07.19)
will be drained away.

Qatar and other gas producers became immensely rich. Israel with much more gas will remain poor, at least its population. But a handful of families will reap of the profits. Thanks to those who made the contracts with Nobel Energy.

Why do people always focus on the secondary issues and not the primary one?

Primary issues cause secondary ones. Why focus on the later?

Modern society is insane.
