Most Excellent +Superb the way that Maj. Gen. Tamir Heyman speaks to our enemies!
Yossi Yehoshua should give more respect to the General.

ISRAEL HAS POOR INTELLIGENCE REGARDING THE LOCATION OF THOUSANDS OF ROCKETS IN GAZA. REGARDING THE NORTH IDF DID NOT TAKE SERIOUSLY PEOPLES COMPLAINS OF HEARING UNDERGROUND NOISES IN THE BORDER AREA OF THE GALLILE FOR YEARS. IN 2006 WAR SHIT INTELLIGENCE. IDF GROUND FORCES WERE LOST. NO CLEAR OBJECTIVE. AND DON'T FORGET THE 1973 WAR. BIG MOUTHS WILL SINK BIG SHIPS. JUST BE QUIET.

To allow such messages in newspapers, it really is a proof, that Israel is one of the most transparent, open and democratic countries in the world, from which the rest of the world can learn something.

hezbollah, hamas, russia, are all existential threats to the jewish state.

if military intelligence is not sufficiently competent, then there are
solutions to the problem.

As a former American intelligence analyst, it’s clear to me that none of the commenters below have any clue about intelligence -- and Maj. Gen. Tamir Heyman, along with an apparently large cabal of peers, has an incompetent view of intelligence and should be replaced by someone with a higher IQ and who can keep their mouth shut! The standards for mid- and high-level jobs needs to be overhauled, upgraded and enforced. I know that there’s a severe tendency for the geniuses to leave intelligence for higher-paying, and higher respected jobs in civilian life. That leaves lesser qualified “lifers” to move up the chain of command according to the Peter Principle: rising to their level of incompetency.

While there is a place for misinformation, disinformation and misdirection against various enemies, espionage units, not core intelligence, is the proper outlet. Current intelligence should never be leaked into the media. It is for the ears of top military commanders and top political leaders alone. Those who blab intelligence for political gain--as PM Netanyahu overdid with the Iranian info (the point could, and should, have been made without disclosing the props)--should be stripped of their intelligence clearances, their position and their responsibilities; replace by someone more competent and responsible.

Israel’s espionage is top shelf; Israel’s intelligence is apparently run by political wannabes who blab way too much.

Hi There ,   Israel   (06.10.19)
Our govt is corrupt, self centered opportunists. They don't care about national goals or security. Slowly the Amerikaim are waking up to the fact we've screwed them for years with the thousands of anutot with irs exemption status and the 3.8b in "aid" because allegedly we are a poverty stricken nation. This fraud is going to cause huge blowback.

IDF monitored Hezbollah's tunnel project for many years. Yes, the officials told the citizens that they don't know about the tunnels, but it was part of the deception tactic. The author of this piece simply doesn't know the facts.

Stupid isn't as intelligence does. There is purpose beyond which we are informed. Push it, Mr Heyman. Thanks.

Israel should do less talking and speak through bold actions. sadly, bibi is mediocre at best when it comes to launching significant actions. he has no stomach for war, war plans. he freaks out and panics. that is who he is. gantz and lapid are even worse.

Israel needs a strong leader like bennett to drive through its enemies with blood and fire. bibi is not the man, ever.

jews do not want to go back to be punching bags and worse.you have weapons. when need be, use them and stop being shrinking violets.
13. mossad and netanyahu

reportedly bibi asked mossad chief for 100% guarantees for a certain operation. mossad director said there were no such guarantees. so of course bibi backed off.

bibi would not have hit osiraq, would not have hit syrian reactor and will not hit iran's nuclear reactors even if they near completion.

what bibi will do is to beg the world to take care of the problem.

sadlt, the idf tends to follow suit. it has had a hard time finding action generals l ike sharon etc.

gantz and ashkenazi are 2 examples of generals who simply do not want to go on offensive operations. there are times when israel has to.
