1. Barnea: very sharp analysis!
Rafi ,   US   (06.25.19)
It's been repeatedly demonstrated that Trump makes decisions on the fly - and rarely has well-thought out, long term strategies on anything.

Bibi on the other hand is all about keeping himself in power by appealing to his largely ignorant, easily-manipulated base. That is his sole long term plan.

In this environment, cool, cunning, authoritarian regimes such as in Iran, North Korea or China simply need to wait out the greater power - currently led by a former TV reality star/ real estate huckster - as it self-destructs...
2. Imbecile Barnea, as always has few facts and lots of fiction
Steve Benassi ,   Minneapolis USA   (06.25.19)
3. Article is clueless about president trump
David ,   New york   (06.25.19)
He’s spending too much time talking with trump hating intelligencia in Washington
Those people are as clueless as he is.

The truth:
He has the Iranians in a choke hold with the extreme sanctions. Bombing a few missile sites just helps them to play victim and break out of sanctions
There’s no hurry to bomb them, either they will do the same thing again (at which time you can bomb them) or they won’t (and the sanctions weaken them)
4. Iran's people will rebel against the Ayatolas

Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana   (06.25.19)
Washington experts must have stifled their laughter out of compassion and courtesy. One of silliest articles I've seen.
8. Tucker Carlson Connection
Mark ben Josef ,   USA   (06.25.19)
Being unaccustomed to watching white nationalist TV shows, I never would have made the Tucker Carlson connection.
9. Not BIBI, not T.Rump, it's the alta kaka meanie theocracy!

It is the persians, formally the nazis, fascists, now the rabid power mad looney muslim theocrats, that are yanking the world to WW#3

Unless squashed expect more and more till it's too late, "the frog is boiled to death"

10. Yet another senseless attack on Netanyahu, by this Bibi-
(06.25.19)
basher by trade, Barnea.
This "expert" opinion (as forewarned by his own usage of that term:-) is no opinion at all.
11. The warning right at the beginning:"me & some EXPERTS" ,that
(06.25.19)
says it all....
12. failure of nerve
barry   (06.25.19)
while israel pms look to the US in crucial decisions, israel has always fought its battles with its own men by preemption or defensive holding and counterattack.

it is only in the last 17 years, that its leaders no longer take the offensive in battles. its either small operations or defensive reactions. general golan accurately described it as the fear of casualties.

olmert for example asked george bush to bomb syria. and we know netanyahu constantly asks big brother usa to take action. what is the basis for this is his fear of casualties. and he will not change so don't expect him to.israelis took it on the chin for both pms exhorting them to finish the enemy-to no avail.

bibi did push usa to jettison the iran deal which had its shortcomings. even some Iranian friends of mine ask why doesn't bibi shut up already. Israel can do things on its own so the other side gets the message.

likud should replace him before the elections really get going. barkat, saar, bennett shaked can compete for the job.

bibi has no confidence in himself when it comes to security. forget about what he says and look at what he does.

he has permitted terror fires non stop with anemic, yes anemic punishment.
likud will do poorly in the next election which may be the reason why reports say bibi is trying to cut deals to avoid elections.
13. Trump makes his own decisions, good or bad
C   (06.25.19)
if he ever listens, it is mostly to his family.
there might be a few members of the administration that have some
influence, but not many.
he does not know or trust the so called experts of wahington
bureaucracy.
good leaders look at intelligence and then follow their instincts.
14. In his last article, Barnea called Netanyahu a "weak" leader
Jake   (06.26.19)
of "weak character".
In this article, he portrays Netanyahu as a master manipulator, a tail that wags the dog.
Barnea is choking so hard on his all-consuming hate for Netanyahu, he can't see how absurd are his contradictions.
15. This article is filled with FakeNews & speculation
Jake   (06.26.19)
"After tense discussions in the White House and the Pentagon, Trump authorized the bombing of several minor military targets in Iran; the planes took off, but then Trump talked to Tucker Carlson, a talk show host on Fox News....."

There is no shred of evidence to back up this sequence of events. All we know is what Trump himself said: that the military was ready with strike plans, SUBJECT to Trump's approval, but that approval was not given in the end.

"Netanyahu pushed Trump to quit the nuclear agreement with Iran. Trump responded enthusiastically."

Really? The record shows that Trump opposed the deal even before he was elected President. During the 2016 election campaign, he said the Iran Deal is a “disaster” and “the worst deal ever negotiated” and that it could lead to a “nuclear holocaust.”, and that as President it would be his “Number-One priority” would be to “dismantle the disastrous deal with Iran.”
Doesn't sound like Trump needed much convincing.

"Obama was convinced at the time that Netanyahu was trying to entangle him in a military confrontation with Iran. One cannot rule out the possibility that this was also the plan for Trump."

One cannot rule out the possibility that Barnea and his fellows are so fixed on their view of Trump as clown and Netanyahu as evil demonic manipulator, that they are unable to see the facts for what they are...Both leaders are cautious when it comes to war. Neither leader got their country involved in any major war.
