1. bibi, olmert, even barak would have caved to the pressure
rod   (06.30.19)
golda meir held firm even though dayan collapsed in the 73 war. Aided by bar lev, and ariel sharon, raful eitan and others, they turned the tide. without a doubt, olmert , bibi and shteinitz, even barak would have conceded to a ceasefire favoring the enemy and the loss of land. bibi runs to ceasefires faster than haniyeh and at the first sign of blood.

sharon could look at the battlefield with a dry eye. since peres, and later bibi, olmert and bibi again, they all freak out with casualties and cannot give the idf time to counter and if necessary change tactics.
this could be because material comforts have spoiled and made such leaders soft.also idf selection and training appears to be wanting.

olmert and shteintiz, lapid, peretz are non fighters as is bibi in his conduct. he does everything to avoid blood, even paying a high price and he says so.. he should have been reassigned to media or desk. he has no business handling security.

then you have gantz, a general who takes very long to make a decision. in protective edge his leadership was anemic.

yet you have people willing to lead the fight and give the idf spirit and time ie bennett and feiglin. the media largely ignores them.

so you Israelis have a death wish that you cannot seem to throw off. ehud barak's prescriptions will put you in ovens again in my judgement.

being a general does not by itself protect Israelis.

would you want general Halutz as PM? Or Zeira? or Yaalon. so why would you choose gantz? because he is tall and good looking is not a reason. he is a media creation.

this appears to be the fatal flaw of the Jewish people. you refuse to elect or appoint the strongest leaders to defend you and the nation.

2. some completely INACCURATE info here...
Rafi ,   US   (07.01.19)
The article says: "Egyptians bombed an Israeli Navy ship in the southern city of Eilat and Israel retaliated with bombing an Egyptian distillery factory near the Canal"

real story: Egyptian surface-to-sea missiles sank the Israel Navy destroyer EILAT in the Mediterranean, off Port Said at northern end of the Canal, with considerable loss of life.

IDF artillery retaliated by destroying Egyptian oil refineries in Suez City at southern end of the Canal.

The rest of the reporting in this article is also rather shevach... (weak).

There's a lot more to be told about the War of attrition than what's written here!
