So the IDF has the capability to shoot down drones but not IID-laden, gas-filled prophylactics? (IID = improvised incendiary device.)

Additionally, why doesn’t the gov’t pay rewards to Souwesterners (i.e. Gaza border area residents) who shoot down IID balloons? Rewards could be set at a fraction of the fire damage costs resulting from IID balloons, which would mean that paying rewards would save money while providing a new sport, like skeet shooting, for our Souwesterners. Maybe they could even rent out shotguns near the border and attract Israelis to take up the sport of IID shooting? (Look out for falling IIDs though.)
