1. Threatening behaviour - anyone going to do something?
Talula ,   Tel Aviv   (07.10.19)
Thought not. I say well done to the Mayor for wanting to give the majority of people in Ramat Gan the freedom to move around on Shabbat - especially soldiers who are home on leave and who don't have cars! Kudos to him!!!!
2. As a member of the Jewish faith I really hate to say this
Shabak ,   Jonesborough   (07.10.19)
People like Litzman and Gafni are the reason why this anti-Semitism in the world. They want to impose their religious beliefs and other people. If they don't want to take public transportation on religious holidaysa and the Sabbath they don't have to do this. With this also include ambulance services which is a form of public transportation? And it's people like those the create situations where the Holocaust can occur again. At least that's my opinion
3. Treat them like any other political party espousing.views

utterly incompatible with our “way of life” in the 21st Century, with all respect given to our religion!
Don’t fall into the trap of accusing them of coercion & religious fanaticism, so on.
They want exactly that!
Then they’ll cry: GEVALT!
4. It’s politics, only with a “shtreimel “on! No biggie, resist!

5. I'm so jealous....
(07.10.19)
So here I sit in London, longing to be able to move (it just ain't possible right now) to a country that can appreciate what the Shabbat represents, in its full glory; Just for a moment if you will, put 'religiosity' 'freedom of choice' and every other 'excuse' to the wayside. Surely we must appreciate that Israel is not London, Paris, NY or any other place on earth - we are as a people and like the country that defines us, different - why spoil the tranquility? Why not take advantage of the opportunity to be more than just Jewish by name, Why cant we act it, show it and enjoy it? I am not a preacher; just a regular guy who longs for understanding (I 'get' you and your wish for transport on Shabbat). Life's much much too short for all this bickering.....its not about coercion by the religious (what's in it for them?); you know what it is? It hurts, it really really hurts....
6. You are now forbidden to walk to synagogue!
Bianca ,   Rehovot   (07.10.19)
Racists. Imagine we told the religious community what they can and can't do on a Shabbat, like they tell others. You CANNOT be in your living room unless you turn on the aircon. You CANNOT walk in the heat and must travel car etc. No democracy has the right to tell other people how to behave - so long as it does not infringe the rights of others. Last I looked, me getting on a bus, does not stop anybody else not.
7. Understand Orthodox but to get along they must show empathy.

8. At least one mayor

9. EVEN BUS DRIVERS LIKE A DAY OFF !

10. No religious law in Israel
Proud Israeli   (07.11.19)
We don't want religious laws in israel. This is a secular state built on reason and science. You can worship God at home, the whole world doesn't need to follow your footsteps. Anything done by force is not divine but delusional. Do you expect a supreme being who is supposedly all knowing and all powerful to be that interested in what they do and what they think? Let alone enforce his ideas on people? Not very divine of him, is it? So please stop pulling israel backwards with fantasies and get involved in the real world where people actually work to put food on the table.
