With 50 years of clinical & hospital medical experience, I can categorically state that there was no real true health reason to justify injecting this child with the tetanus vaccine. The claim presented by the social services is delusionary at best. The figures they quoted are from a century ago for cases in really filthy contaminated places such as barns, stables, villages with no sewage system etc. Also they were from puncture or laceration wounds that were not. could not at the time & situation be properly cleaned and treated. Today in Israel in cities, towns Kibbutzim the conditions are much more hygienic so, in general, the possibility of contracting tetanus is practically nil. What's more, it was a burn from a fire so any germs from the place where the injury happened were surely burned out. Then since proper care of the wound was done & quickly enough - there really was no chance of the child contracting tetanus. Also the incubation time of tetanus is 1 to 2 days so since the child was already over a week after the injury & there were no symptoms, that in of itself is proof that there was zero chance of him developing tetanus.
