How by any stretch of the imagination is building the Leviathan Oil Platform within 5 miles off Israel’s shoreline and an oil refinery right at the beach considered conserving our shoreline’s bio-diversity??

Global warming and melting the polar ice will cause a significant rise in sea levels. This should increase flow of Altantic waters to the Eastern Mediterranean and improve the water quality and biodiversity. We should concentrate our efforts on generating CO2 in order to save our costal environment.

As far as I'm aware, the primary problem of untreated sewage waste in this region is coming from the Gaza Strip. Another problem, closer to Jerusalem, is the untreated waste flowing into the Kidron Valley and from there into the Dead Sea. Thankfully something is being done about this second problem.
8. Gas platform
Simon marriott ,   Haifa   (08.18.19)
Building a gas platform off hot haboniim near Zikron Yaacov does nothing to help the Mediterranean coast of Israel.
