1. so these indulged, self-centered brats are now heroes??
Rafi ,   US   (07.30.19)
right out of the Elor Azaria school of tribal barbarism
2. Sex just for fun? Oy vey!

3. My reaction ? Simple - parental lack of education.
barbara ,   Haifa   (07.30.19)
The onus should be on the parent's shoulders - first, for sending underage
teens to such a place for vacation and second, for not teaching them to
respect women as human beings.
4. AUTHOR IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. DISGUSTING EMBARRASSMENT

5. What should we expect of our young men when...
David ,   Hartford USA   (07.29.19)
a past PRESIDENT of the country was imprisoned for rape?
IDF OFFICERS are routinely charged with rape and harassment?
a past PM is seen entering Jeffrey Epstein's mansion?
cable and internet sexualizing everything?
even advertising on YNet is sexualized...

That said (and that's plenty), didn't the parents ever tell the young men to "keep it in your pants!?"

The sickest part is that several young men (let's just call them perverts), chose to watch their buddies kanoodle with the floozy.

All their actions were so disgusting I'm amazed their kippahs didn't fly off their heads on their own!

Wow. "Israel's finest" - NOT!!

Hey, all you pretty Israeli women, is this the kind of guy you want to marry?

Let's get all their names out in the open so their shame can follow them around for a few years. It's the least they deserve.

When I was in high school, my parents sat me down and we had a long talk. To boil everything down, it came to this simple concept:
"Don't do anything that will bring shame to your family."

Looks like all these young men missed this valuable lesson.
6. Kippah
Geezer ,   Herzliya   (07.30.19)
Where are the kippahs now when they celebrate? These guys should be ashamed as well as their parents. You can only know the education the guys got in their household. Wonder what they would say if their daughters mothers or sisters got filmed and spread all over the world?
7. Well-written article!

Brava Chen!

Very well said! It is so refreshing and inspiring to read such an article on ynetnews, which too-frequently lacks a proper Torah-based perspective.

Compassion, acts of kindness and modesty are the three signs that prove membership in the Jewish nation. I hope these 12 Jews will study Torah.
8. THE NEW "HEROES" OF ISRAEL. WEARING KIPAS BEHIND ME.

9. That's "society" all over the world, so lay off the guilt
(07.30.19)
trip!
This is what we have to live with.
Young people not knowing what reading a good book is, what a real conversation is, what a quiet dinner with family is, what a world without free pornography is, what life without smart phones& computers is...so on.
10. Also blame the parents
g.e.   (07.30.19)
I'm sorry that these boys weren't thrown in jail for a longer time, they have not only disgraced themselves but their families and the Jewish and Israeli people. I not only blame them but also their parents who raised these "boys" to believe that they could do no wrong and condoned their trip to Cyprus knowing full well that they will join others from around the world in non stop parties and drunken sex orgies. I'm embarrassed by them and for them. I'm not even sure that the army should recruit them, they have brought shame on all of us who look after our kids and try to instill them a moral code, which these boys obviously do not have, thanks to their parents.
11. Boys without decency!
Lou ,   Bucharest   (07.29.19)
I hope nobody marries them, ever! They are a disgrace to their families .
12. we live in a self obsessed narcissistic society world wide
C   (07.29.19)
parents no longer teach their children values, morals. how could they, they
have none themselves.
13. Feminist B/S
Igor ,   Germany   (07.30.19)
This is all pure man-hatred. There is no "rape culture" in Israel or in the western world today, not any more than there is "theft culture" or "murder culture", and certainly less then "tax evasion culture". It is actually the feminist fiction of a "rape culture" that has made this whole nightmare possible. Without believing in it, and believing that other people believe in it, the British woman wouldn't have dared to make false accusations.

The woman wanted sex, and she got it. The boys did her a service. Why aren't we discussing female promiscuity as the cause and core problem?

OK, the women didn't want to be filmed, and I agree that being recorded without consent is at least immoral, if not illegal. But, where is the outcry when recordings of Sara Netanyahu or Bibi appear in the media?
14. #MeToo Mentality, Male Version
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana   (07.30.19)
Praise for these young men and white kipot are blatant hypocrisy. Nevertheless, there's also another side...

16. Women are EVIL
NYC   (07.30.19)
17. No, they are not
Igor ,   Germany   (07.31.19)
Maybe this particular one woman is. Or maybe she was so brain-washed by the rape-culture-mythology that she really believed that being filmed without consent while having consensual sex is the same as being raped. In that case, it's a more general problem with our feminist society.
18. You forgot Barak, make sure to include him
(07.31.19)
I never said Azaria was a hero, but he's not the villain you're desperate to portray him as. He did nothing over the top, given the context. It was a good message to deliver to the other side.

If you take issue with him, take issue with the the shabak agent who once executed an 18 year old terrorist who hijacked a bus in Israel. This happened well, and I mean well, before Azaria.

As per left/right "bs". I'd rather not "spare" you from it. I've read enough of posts Rafi to get a good enough sense of you. Like plenty of you type/style, you talk in a certain way that may come across as somewhat "thoughtful", but beneath it is extremism over the top emotionality, and radical views. Our best leaders to date (in the modern state) were Begin and Shamir.
