The haredi are truly insane.

Even murderers have mothers and fathers who love them. They may not agree with their actions but they still love them.

her behaviour became decidedly shady.

Haredim who hate changes, who hate and fail to accept departures from their old impractical beliefs, are staying small and isolated. These are the Haredim who are today overwhelmed by the "hozrim b'sheela." In contrast, look at the Kipot Srugot in Israel and outside, look at the majority of American Jews, most of them don't want to have anything to do with the Haredim. Look at the Christians who understood loving ways more than 2,000 years ago and are leading in numbers in the world today in consequence of their departure from Judaism.

A ray of light in a darkening world.

This is a son who has great respect for his father. And a father who understands the path that a child chooses is the free will that GOD has given to everyone. The Haredim sadly have hearts of stone.
