The German government puts former war criminals on trial, they are found guilty and judge rules they are to old to be sent to prison and case closed.
Apart from Israel no coutry has ever made any real effort to put former Nazis on trial since Nuremberg.

When he saw the camps, he starved to death over a million German soldiers in a field of 1.2 million. He posted snipers on rooftops to kill German men and unleashed US troops to rape and bite off the breasts of German woman. Then he had the Nuremberg Trials that my father who was a US Army Colonel said were illegal. In the history of warfare, never before were foreign conquerors allowed to try the government officials instead of having patsies of the nation conquered do that. The Jews have had their revenge and need to move on. Blaming a 92 year old teenage guard is preposterous.
