This is so upsetting. I heard a lecture last week from Janna Tamimi, from West Bank, on her U.S. tour. She is articulate, compelling, engaging and it was hard to listen. Betty McCollum has a bill in Congress to limit U.S. funding to Israel over rights abuses of children. Tamimi, or Janna Jihad, was interviewed also on Democracy Now, and met with Rashida Tlaib.
There needs to be a better way, than silencing all critics of Israeli policy, and relegating BDS to a crime.
It is not working; antisemitism is rising in the U.S.
The Palestinian Americans are fighting back, they want their voices heard over the suffering of their loved ones, not all terrorists ( like the savage killer a couple of days ago of Dvir Sorek).
We must find a way for Holocaust remembrance and Jewish narratives that don't squash others, there has to be room for both, in a civil and compassionate manner.
This will increase antisemitism and lead to hatred of Jews. We have to come together to seek peace.
