1. A different opinion from non-orthodox yet conservative Jew.

Temple Mount is a pinnacle of United Jerusalem under full Israeli control. As such, Jews, Muslims, Christians and anyone else should be allowed to visit and pray if they would like to express their religious freedom. It's not about real estate, it's about enforcing rules of tolerant co-existence under Israeli sovereignty. If some is offended by diversity and mutual respect they can leave to pray elsewhere.
It's obviously more convenient to continue to cave for bizarre practices set by Jordanian Waqf created and funded for only reason - sabotage and diminish any Jewish religious practice and presence in the land of Israel by striking to every Jew's heart - Holy Temple site in Jerusalem.
2. And the point of this article was....?
Sam ,   Tel Aviv   (08.13.19)
This article was excellent... at proving how incoherent the author is. It was proper to ban Jews from the Temple Mount on the 9th of Av? I'm sorry, I thought freedom of religious worship was a basic. I guess not when it comes to Jews.
3. Jerusalem is quite a complex issue
Proud Israeli   (08.12.19)
I have Jewish ancestors and I am ethnically Jewish. But I am not religious and I find all these problems that religion and religious places cause to be quite avoidable. It's ironic how a place of God can start so much violence. Israel should manage the area because clearly the Waqf can't. Extremists on both sides should settle down because violence will not solve anything. I respect the Jewish historical and holy places and it is within our peoples right to visit it but I also respect Muslims places and their right too. Jerusalem should be a city for all religions and all are welcome. Israel should ban those who cause trouble and allow those who go to pray. Only Israel can make this work and I believe in our state's capability to find solutions to difficult problems.
4. Mount belongs to us. Waqf is a murderous occupier.

7. Whose extremists
Maurice M ,   Rockville MD USA   (08.13.19)
I think it is about time Muslims accept the "Temple Mount" and "Machpelah" etc as joint sites. I understand they would like total control like they had from the Muslim conquest til 1967 except for Crusader occupation. But it is past time for such REAL compromise. I am a secular only slightly observant Jew.
8. WRONG ! DAYAN WAS A ONE-EYED TWIT

9. SO LET'S GET THIS STRAIGHT :
TEL EM STRAIGHT ,   SAFED   (08.13.19)
It is a big sin ,totally forbidden , for Jews to ' desecrate the holy ground ' but it is kosher ,or fine , for muslims to happily do so ??
10. MOSHE DAYAN WAS THE ENEMY !

11. On the other hand
Benny ,   Tlv   (08.13.19)
What if the Muslims just prayed there while the Jews rioted. Would you then call the Muslims the extremists?
12. TEMPLE MOUNT
LARRY LISS   (08.13.19)
TAKE A NATIONAL VOTE LET THE WILL OF THE MAJORITY OF ISRAELI SOCIETY DECIDE ISREAL IS A DEMOCRACY ???
13. Suddenly Barney is concerned about "rabbinical bans"!

14. Temple Mount is ours. We aren't bound by Dayan's folly
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.13.19)
The Temple Mount belongs to the Jewish people now and forever. We aren't bound by Dayan's folly. Dayan had no authority to negate thousands of years of Jewish history and our ownership of one of our holiest sites. That would be akin to Catholics ceding the Vatican or Muslims ceding Mecca. No other people acts with such disgusting LACK of self respect. Nor should Jews!
15. Dayan was a dictator
C   (08.14.19)
he had no right to dictate the sovereignty of the temple mount.
