Somewhat shocking to witness the artistic scale & degree of detailing possible using sand as a medium.

Salute to such sandy efforts!
2. Ashkelon denies its citizens and guests from access to beach
Boris ,   Ashkelon   (08.20.19)
As a place for sand sculptures there was selected a natural parking area near most popular beach Bar-Kochba. On weekends many people are parking there to attend the beach. In addition to closing this area, organizers of the festival also closed all nearby municipal parking places. As a result, thousands of families in Ashkelon and across the country are deprived of opportunity to spend a time on Ashkelon beaches in favor of handful of visitors of the festival. It is humiliation of citizens and taxpayers of Ashkelon who can see empty parking near the beach and are denied on entering it, while all the festival was organized on municipal money from our pockets. Families with small children, elderly people have to go kilometers under burning summer sun to reach the beach instead of conveniently parking in its immediate vicinity.
