Israel’s “great” chess skills have managed from 2001 till today to bring Iran all the way from the Eastern border of Iraq to the Eastern best border of Israel. Where will be the next station? Haifa?
The fact that they do not respond to Israel’s insignificant attacks does not mean that they can’t. Why should they expose their capabilities when they can reserve them to the opening hours of the next conflict when could be paying several fold for our killings.

The Israeli calculus that this will lead to a civil war is wrong. Instead, they are opening themselves up to retaliation using cheap technology that will be difficult and costly to defeat. According to Nasrallah's threat, the jets which bombed the PLFP-GC camp in the Bekaa Valley obviously weren't Israeli Jets, otherwise Hezbollah's superior air-defense would have downed the planes - no doubt, right?
