Whilst Liberman is the cause of all this mess biggers cant be choosers so Netanyahu needs to do a deal with the Liberman devil if he is going to have any hope of forming a coalition.
Liberman is also a more natural choice as a partner than Gantz who unlike Liberman is a leftist and he has partners like Lapid to keep happy so his options are limited.
If Netanyahu offers Liberman a rotating Premiership then he will probably drop his unrealistic demands because he knows this is his one and only chance to ever be PM and Gantz will not make that offer and he will be keeping all the most senior portfolios for Lapid, Ashkenazi and Yaalon.
For Liberman swallowing his pride and doing a realistic deal with Netanyahu is the best option for him
