Appeasing a dictator is never a good idea, whether it is a democracy or wannebe dictator doing it. Trumps appeasement of Erdogan and the vacuum he has created in doing so has not only destabilized the Middle East and driven former allies into the arms of Iran, Syria and Russia, but left the Kurdish people with even less chances of forming an autonomous state of their own than ever before. Turkey's actions will embolden the PKK, not weaken it. Syrian Kurds will be more dependent on Assad than ever before. Iraqi Kurds know they will be next on Erdogans hit list, like they were before when Turkey was the major supporter and largest customer of Deash. That Trump, on a "gut instinct" withdrew American support with no warning nor consolation, even amongst his own advisors, is a very disturbing development. Trump's "gut instinct" to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capitol and the Golan Heights as Israeli territory will fall under the same scrutiny as his Kurdish decision. Trust that this will not be lost on Israel's detractors. He is not friend of ours when he undertakes such reckless and arbitrary actions, even if they do seem to favour us at the moment.
4. Israel does this already and a lot, covertly

5. We simply will not be locked into the Syrian setting

The "Caliphate" of the dark IS crazies is no more.

We withdraw.
6. could Israel airdrop assistance to Kurds in north Syria?

7. Israel and the Kurds
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn Holland   (10.17.19)
The author of this article is very right about the last sentence. To begin with, the Kurdish People must have a part of Turkey, for their own Kurdistan. After that also a part of Syria, Iraq and Iran. The enemies of the Kurds must be punished and it"s a right reward for the Kurds. If needed only for the Kurds to live in Kurdistan, like in Israel, if necesarily. The rest all must go to Mecca and thank All.h, that they are still alive and stay there for good.
8. A military intervention would likely be a counterproductive-
N ,   N   (10.16.19)
- but Mr. Netanyahu could declare independence from Trump. That would be the sign that even has lost his faith in him and that the U.S. will likely have a new president that could counter Erdogan & co.
9. Everyone ignoring centuries of Kurds persecuting Jews....
A   (10.17.19)
Now I must admit I learn new things each day but no-one seems to be talking about the long periods where Kurds ethnically cleansed, massacred and stole from the Jews around them, treating them like 2nd class citizens and worse for centuries.

What about the fact that the PKK ally with antifa to bring down Western civilization?

So many factors. Which Kurds?

So much irrational anger towards trump, if it was Obama everyone would be praising him.
10. "A lesson in Trump's ficklenes" - Fake news
Jake   (10.18.19)
Trump was elected on a platform of removing US forces from the Middle East.
He has been announcing and planning withdrawal from Syria for a long time, and never hid it. Either you missed it or you are deliberately pretending the facts don't exist.
11. we cannot fight for them but can arm them
zionist forever   (10.20.19)
Israel cannot intervene militarily but it can give them weapons.
Give old retired foreign weapons ( not Israeli made ) and possibly even some old M113 personal carriers and possibly some old long retired foreign made tanks.
