20 Talkbacks for this article
1. Leftist propaganda
Igor ,   Germany   (10.21.19)
Iranian threat has increased also in Iraq and in the Persian Gulf. Is it also Netanyahu's fault?

Before 2005 the "Palestinian" leadership in Gaza was PA (Abbas & Co.). Is it Netanyahu's fault, that Hamas could take over? Is it Netanyahu's fault that Israel ceded control over Judea, Samaria and Gaza to terrorists?

Diplomatically, under Netanyahu relations with Arab and African countries have reached levels unseen before. Israeli diplomats are openly visit Arab countries, meet their counterparts there, and talk military and economic cooperation. Which leftist politician has ever managed that???
2. Come on now
Mashdi ,   Tehran   (10.21.19)
Surely, Mr. Babi has a few more cartoons up his sleeves to save Israel, himself, Trump and who knows may be even the Planet.
Never underestimate the King of Kings, the Master of Cartoons. If nothing else, he could as well mint a new Coin for his Kingdom, depicting Bibi the Great and His Majesty Himself.
3. Climate change is a much bigger issue
Rich ,   Toronto   (10.21.19)
than all other problems combined, and if nothing is done to resolve it, there will be no Israel to defend in 30 years or less.
4. "Israel's situation has worsened under Netanyahu" - doubtful

5. Force the ostrich to retire and leave its head in the sand.
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.21.19)
6. By similar, idiotic (partisan) reasoning we can deduct, that
(10.21.19)
since we've started works on the light rail/metro in Tel aviv, the 'situation' in regard to Iran has worsened.
Or: ever since I gave up on white bread.... or...
7. USA has tried this approach before:staying "out of it" until
(10.21.19)
the Japanese opened their eyes....
Funny how history repeats itself and quite back to back (in terms of time proximity)
To try and somehow pin this (too) on our PM is ....well: well worth of your garden variety, leftist Bibi-phobiomat :-))
8. Author has forgotten PM's main sin:Global Warming got worse!
(10.21.19)
9. As if Abbas was interested in any solution helping Israel
ab   (10.21.19)
Naïve musings.
10. This article is the height of dishonesty.
Jake   (10.21.19)
"there were no Iranians in Syria when he took office, now there are;"

The author of this nonsense statement neglected to mention that there has been a bloody civil war raging in Syria with hundreds of thousands dead, and the country torn apart. Netanyahu had no way of controlling or preventing that.
What he did achieve was to prevent the Iranians and Hizbullah from setting up military bases on Israel's Golan border.

The author should try looking at history from a different perspective, namely that Netanyahu has succeeded in bringing to an end the period of massive Israeli casualties in wars and terrorist attacks, which had been massively exacerbated by the Oslo disaster that our leftist media had supported with great enthusiasm.
11. Friedman is a NEVER NETANYAHU kinda guy
DSM ,   USA   (10.21.19)
After all these years Friedman still believes Israel can trust Abbas and make a deal with him. That is really all one needs to know about Daniel Friedman.
12. above
moishe   (10.21.19)
people who deal with Trump always get burned.
13. He kept the writer safe
Isaac Storm   (10.21.19)
He kept the writer safe so that he could write these allegations
.
But instead of blaming Netanyahu why doesn't the writer put the hat on the real culprit of the situation: Obama.

The writer forgets that it was Obama who threatened Assad with regime change so that Assad started killing his own people as a means to prevent Obama from carrying out his threat. It was Obama who stood aside and let Russia and Iran in - remember his red line that wasn't? Obama's standing aside resulted in 250,000 civilian deaths and 5 million refugees. On top of that, Obama released billions of dollars of Iranian assets and flew in cash to Iran so that Iran would sign the Iran deal and release US hostages. This infusion of money enabled Iran to widen its terrorism - which Obama ignored.
As for the Democrats, Obama had tried to removed Hamas from the US terror list, abstained on UNSC resolution 2334, voted in the horrific Iran deal, let Abbas get away with the upgrade at the UN (and Obama tried to bypass US law which forbid giving any money to a UN agency that recognized Palestine as a state - which among other agencies, the UNESCO did), kept supplying Abbas with money in spite of his paying terrorists and refusing to negotiate with Israel, and the list goes on.
Any Israeli prime minister would have been in the same boat as Netanyahu. And the situation would have been worse without him.
14. Education budget more than doubled in last 10 years
Jake   (10.23.19)
Arab Israeli enrollment in higher education also increased by more than 100%.
But no credit for Netanyahu from the merciless leftist media syndicate, because he and his fans are not from the "old boys' club".
