a minority government with the arab joint list would be a disaster for
israel. the arab joint list is an enemy of the jewish state.
on the other hand, the hated haredi community might be an irritant,
but not an enemy.
regardless of what the seculars think, israel would not exist without
the haredim. it is the haredim who kept alive judaism throughout
thousands of years. they were the ones who sacrificed their lives
and the lives of their children for the continual existence of judaism.
islam did not even exist when jews/haredim gave their lives for
judaism. even today, islam wants to destroy the jewish state.

The ultra orthodox have been in almost every government ( left and right ) in the countries history and also whilst you might not like the fact that their price is things like money to the yeshivot has it occured to you that in a coalition system EVERY PARTY has a price, for some its economic and for others political.

The nationalists want the state to fund settlement construction and annex everything, the far left want to liberalise everything and want a state of the citizens.
Lapid wants to dismantle every institution of orthodoxy in the country, apart from his dream of being PM he has no other ideology.
The arabs of course want a state of the citizens, right of return for the Pals as well as a Pals state, full seperation of religion and state and replacing all the national sysmbols with neutral ones etc.

Why is it only the religious you think make demands and how we would be better off with a minority government backed by arabs than a stable coalition that includes the religious?

If the aattitude to the religious parties was taking place in the US or Europe we would be shouting and screaming anti sematism because people do not want Jews in politics.
As its taking place in Israel what would be considered anti semitic abroad is considered perfectly acceptable and justified.
