The Health Ministry reported Wednesday evening that 953 Israelis have tested positive for coronavirus out of about 56,000 tests conducted since midnight, putting the country's contagion rate at 1.77%.
Out of 9,134 active patients, 68 were in serious condition, with 12 connected to ventilators.
The death toll since the start of the pandemic stood at 6,454.
