Police officers have arrested for the second time a serial harasser of Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi andhis family at their Kfar Saba home.
A 35-year old resident of the same city was arrested Thursday morning after officers found him cursing and yelling condemnations of the IDF chief, the military advocate general, and the army in front of Ashkenazi's house.
The man gave special attention in his exclamations of contempt to the military advocate general's decision to indict combatsoldiers for incidents that occurred during Operation Cast Lead inGaza.
The suspect, who is known to police as a right-wing activist, was last arrested two days ago on harassment charges and interrogated at the Kfar Saba police station.
Officers released him with a warning to stay away from Ashkenazi's house, which apparently went unheeded.
Police were alerted to the IDF chief's home early in the morning and arrested the man once again. This time, officers say, he will not be released but rather brought before the court for a hearing on the remand of his arrest. He may also be indicted on charges of harassment and violation of a restraining order.
