A day after the publication of U.S. President Donald Trump's new proposal for a hostage deal, which would see all 48 released on the first day, Hamas sources claim that "it is impossible to release all living hostages and bodies in a single phase on the first day of the ceasefire." In an interview with Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, they noted that they had also told the mediators this, claiming that "there are hostages who were killed in places that require the IDF to cease fire, so that they can be extracted from under the rubble or from the places where they were buried."
