One man was critically injured and 17 children were lightly hurt Wednesday, in a collision between a car and the bus on Highway 65, south of Afula.
Magen David Adom EMTs treated the injured on site before rushing them to Haemek Medical Center in Afula.
The bus was transporting disabled children. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
Superintendent Roman Brownstein of the Northern District Police's Accident Investigation Unit told Ynet that three cars were involved in the crash and that one of the private vehicles ran a red light.
A second accident, this time on Highway 73, left three people injured. One was airlifted to the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa and two others were evacuated to Haemek Hospital.
