As of Saturday noon, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Israel stands at 15,148, while 198 patients have succumbed to the disease, health officials confirmed.
Of the latest number, 130 patients are in serious condition, a decrease of 6.4% in the past 24 hours, including 102 in need of ventilator support. At least 99 patients are in moderate condition.
Among the latest fatalities is an 86-year-old Shoshana Ben-Yishai, who was a resident of the Ganei Ora assisted living facility in Jerusalem. Ben-Yishai died at the Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot.
Nearly 40 percent of all deaths in Israel as a result of the pathogen have been residents of nursing homes and geriatric facilities.
Some 8,562 patients have mild symptoms.
The number of Israelis who have recovered from the virus now stands at least 6,159. The number of recoveries has now exceeded the number of new diagnoses for the tenth day in a row.
There are currently 413 coronavirus patients receiving treatment in hospitals while 5,916 people are fighting the virus at home.
Another 2,397 people are currently receiving treatment in specially designated hotels and 65 are awaiting a decision on whether they will be treated.
