As of Tuesday morning, there are 16,246 confirmed coronavirus cases in Israel, while 237 patients have succumbed to the virus.
The Health Ministry said Jeruasalem has the highest number of coronavirus-related fatalities with 55 deaths, followed by Bnei Brak with 33 and Bat Yam with 18.
Among the latest victims is a 76-year-old man who passed away at Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva. The hospital said he suffered from underlying health conditions.
The Health Ministry said there are 7,927 people currently infected with the pathogen, while 10,064 have recovered from the disease.
Based on the data released Monday, Jerusalem still leads the other Israeli cities in the rate of the virus spread with 3,571 confimer COVID-19 cases so far, followed by the Haredi city of Bnei Brak with 2,857.
Tel Aviv have so far reported only 537 confimed cases.
Haredi city of Beit Shemesh and the ultra-Orthodox settlement of Modi'in Illin have recorded 494 and 408 caes so far.
