Israel extradites man to face fraud charges in France

Israel on Tuesday extradited Ilan Abraham Marco who holds both Israeli and French citizenship, to France where he is to face serious fraud charges.
The extradition request was made by the French government in September, 2017 and Marco was arrested in November of 2020.
According to the charges, the 42-year old defrauded dozens of victims, mostly elderly people claiming to work for the French government and illegally obtaining funds from in order to receive money owned to them from tax rebates and other fraudulent claims.
Among his victims were members of the French judiciary and law enforcement.
