The Likud Party dressed down Prime Minister Naftali Bennett Tuesday evening for his government's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Naftali lost control over COVID, abandoned the citizens of Israel to their fate and sent them to buy unreliable home testing kits out of pocket," a statement read.
"Naftali also abandoned the businesses owners and the self-employed while we took care of generous aid that saved them from bankruptcy and kickstarted the Israeli economy in spite of COVID."
The Likud Party and its chairman Benjamin Netanyahu led Israel for 12 consecutive years and through the country's first three coronavirus waves before moving to the opposition last June.
