The Green Pass was mandated too late against experts' opinion and came at the cost of many Israeli lives, Head of Public Health Services at the Health Ministry Dr. Sharon Alroy-Preis said on Thursday.
The Green Pass is a document that grants access to public venues for those who are either inoculated against COVID-19, or have recovered from it, or have recently tested negative.
She made the remarks at a discussion of Knesset's Special Committee for the Rights of the Child pertaining to Pfizer Inc's announcement last week it submitted initial trial data for its COVID-19 vaccine in children aged 5 to 11 and that it would make a formal request with U.S. regulators for emergency use in the coming weeks.
