Foreign Minister Yair Lapid on Thursday met with the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain during his first visit to the Gulf nation and the first time the King met publicly with an Israeli minister.
Lapid described the meeting and historic warm and full of hope, in a post on Twitter.
"The king's leadership and inspiration has led to true cooperation and our meeting paves the way to continued relations," Lapid said in his post.
