Prime Minister Yair Lapid Sunday morning condemned a suspected terror attack in Jerusalem's Old City and vowed that the assailant will pay a price for harming civilians.
"Security forces, the Shin Bet, IDF, and police are on the ground to capture the despicable terrorist - and they won't stop until they catch him," he said.
"Let all those who seek to harm us know that they will pay a price for any harm to civilians."
Lapid also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack and extended his support to their families.
Eight people were wounded in the attack, among them two civilians in serious condition.
The suspected gunman later turned himself in to police.
