The medical experts panel advising the government on issues pertaining to the coronavirus pandemic said Tuesday that it is against shuttering schools despite the spread of the Omicron variant and the consequent national surge in COVID cases.
The panel further advised for the government to impose a hybrid study policy that would see some students study in-person in class, while others study remotely.
The panel also advised for additional restrictions on gatherings for at least a few weeks, until the infection spike abates.
