Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked announced Sunday that she plans to promote an initiative to deter those violating the mandatory COVID-induced quarantine.
As per Shaked's initiative, Israelis who return from abroad and fail to remain in quarantine will not be allowed to leave the country for an entire year, in addition to the standard NIS 5,000 fine.
Shaked plans to present her initiative at the meeting of the coronavirus cabinet on Sunday evening.
