President Isaac Herzog released a public message ahead of Rosh Hashana in which he called on the public to deal with the disagreements in Israeli society through respectful discourse.
"Even in the time of elections which is a challenge to us all, we shall learn to adopt the disagreements through respectful discourse, without rejecting, God forbid, the deep and eternal truth, that is eternal within us, that we are sisters and brothers.
"All the challenges that lie ahead of us, we were meant to over come with one another, together," he said.
