Jordan condemns Israel police actions on Temple Mount

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry on Saturday, issued a condemnation of the actions of Jerusalem Police against Muslim protesters on Temple Mount.
A group of Palestinians clashed with troops as they protested what they claimed by infringements on their holy ground by Israeli extremists.
"The violation of international law and the status quo has consequences," the ministry said in a statement. "The Al Aqsa Mosque is a place for Muslim worship and Jordan has sole legal authority over the site. "We call Israel to end its actions and respect the legal authority of Jordan and history."
