Comsec to provide security consulting to Netherlands Railways
Israeli security consulting company to provide information security projects to Dutch railways company NS totaling $750,000
Comsec, an Israeli security consulting and risk assessment company, was chosen by the Dutch railways company, NS, to provide information security projects totaling $750,000.
NS is one of the largest companies in Holland, has 25,000 employees and operates several large technology centers across the country.
Comsec has been providing NS with various consulting services for the past four years.
In the framework of the current project, the Israeli company will carry out tasks in the field of European regulations, formulate risk assessment models, design methods for integrating information security in development processes and help with the establishment of a control center for information security.
Roee Harari, Comsec's international operations VP, said that "Netherlands Railways maintains a very complex IT infrastructure, which comprises a large number of information systems and a wide variety of applications. Secured management of the IT system is a vital condition for the proper operations of this huge company, which transports millions of people each year, employs tens of thousands of workers and has a 4 million euro turnover."
