Amos Kollek film to compete in Berlin Festival

'Restless', an Israeli, Canadian, French and Belgian co-production, tells the story of a father and son who meet after 20 years

Israeli director Amos Kollek's new film, 'Restless', will compete for the Golden Bear prize at the Berlin International Film Festival.

The movie is an Israeli, Canadian, French and Belgian co-production, which takes place mostly in New York and features Israeli actors Moshe Ivgy, Ran Danker, Miri Mesika and Tzaci Grad.

Ivgy plays the role of Moshe, an Israeli living in New York for over 20 years, a failed poet making a living from random and sometimes dubious dealings. His life changes one day when his son Tzach (Danker), an IDF combat soldier whom he abandoned after his birth, contacts him following his mother's death.

Kollek is mainly active in New York. His film 'Fast Food, Fast Women' competed for the Golden Palm award in the Cannes Film Festival in 2000.
