Bush meets with Jordan's king

President George W. Bush has opened two days of Mideast diplomacy, welcoming Jordan's King Abdullah II to the White House for a brief breakfast meeting. The king arrived and left within the span of an hour Wednesday.


The Jordanian Embassy said Abdullah came to Washington at Bush's invitation to discuss negotiations

between Palestinians and Israelis, the latest developments in the Mideast and ties between the United States and Jordan. (AP)
