White House: Bush to visit Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia
US President George W. Bush will travel to the Middle East from May 13-18, to visit Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, but is not planning a trilateral summit with Israeli and Palestinian leaders while there, the White House said Monday.

The president's trip will celebrate America's close ties over the past six decades with Israel, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary, it said. While in Israel, Bush plans to meet with President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and address the Knesset. (AFP)
